After my last eye exam I found that this brand was going to be discontinued, so I tried a box of the Acuvue Advance and what a difference! They are incredibly thin and flexible and I don't even notice them in at all, even after extended wear as they keep quite moist all day (the Acuvue 2's used to become unbearably dry after wearing them for a few hours). Unfortunately, I didn't test out the sample pair she gave me before ordering more. After switching I'm very unhappy. These are much more uncomfortable. They retain their shape, so if I forget to check that they're lying flat in their case at night, when I put them in the next day they're misshapen and painful. After a few days of wear, they begin to blur badly toward the end of the day. My prescription strength increased with my last visit, and I was excited for new lenses to improve my vision, but these are almost worse than my old lenses. As I'm typing this review, after having these Advance lenses in for just about ten hours, I can barely read what I type because they're so blurry! Comments about Acuvue Advance Contact Lens, 6 ea: I like these contacts. I have been wearing them for 8 years and I've only had problems with them a few times here and there. They are a great value and are normally very comfortable. I've only have problems when I try to wear them for too many days in a row or if i accidently sleep in them - they get uncomfortable and dry. I liked those more. I have a very active/phyiscal job. That's why I need contacts. I am not 100% convinced with this type. Pros

Comments about Acuvue Advance Contact Lens, 6 ea: i've been wearing contacts since i was 13. Acuvue has been the best brand i've tried. they are moist and pretty much stay moist all day. they can, though, build up some protein and get itchy or uncomfortable. Pros

All accuvue products (regular ones) I've used in the past have led my eyes to dry very fast. I kept them in by accident one night and all day the next day. It wasn't until way later that my eyes started to become very dry. Pros

They wear out after it, are difficult to keep clean, tear easily and sometimes one will come defective in the box of six. The quality of this lenses has gotten bad over the past couple of years. Comments about Acuvue Advance Contact Lens, 6 ea: I am very limited to the types of contacts I can wear because of my bad vision and sensitive eyes. I keep using this product only because of the low cost. The most annoying thing about this product is how dry the contacts get and they seem to need to be changed earlier than directed.
