These contacts feel great in my eyes. I put them in the minute I wake up and keep them in until I go to bed. So they are great for long wear. My only issue is the are hard to put in. After 20 years of a certain brand, my lenses were discontinued. I tried these on a recommendation by my eye doctor. My old contacts had a very prominent logo on the bottom of the lens so that I knew which way to put them in. These only have a fine line, which is hard to see. It use to take me about 2 seconds to put my lenses in and now takes about a minute and I still don't always get it right. That's the reason for 4 stars & not 5.

Acuvue Advance for astigmatism is Johnson & Johnson's replacement for the Acuvue Toric series of lenses which I used before they were replaced by the Advance series.

After using them for over a year my opinion is the same as the first day I tried them: "I want my Acvue Torics back!"

It's not that these lenses are particularly bad, but they are no better than the Torics in any way, and in several ways they are worse:

They are made of a different material, and are larger in diameter which makes them more difficult to insert and remove. I used to be able to scoot my contact across my eye and it would fold and pop out. Now I have to pinch it against my eye to remove. It's not as easy or comfortable a process. Insertion is trickier too, due to the larger diameter, which makes it harder to get onto your eye without catching an eyelid, etc.

Comfort is good. No better than the Toric, but they are very comfortable, and I can wear them overnight for extended periods without a problem, just as I did with the Torics.

The biggest negative with these lenses; however, is the price: It is **Double** the price of the Acuvue Toric lenses. This is obscured a bit by the trick of selling them in boxes of 6 for the same price that usted to buy 12 Torics.

So; Harder to put in, harder to remove, no more comfortable or longer wearing, and they cost twice as much.

I really miss my Acuvue Torics.

For those who wear contact lenses and have astigmatism (also known as a non-symmetrical cornea), you know how hard it is to buy contact lenses that are both comfortable and fit your needs. The ACUVUE ADVANCE for ASTIGMATISM contact lens is a good option for those who have this condition. These lenses are very easy to put in, as they have the easy to see tinting, and they also feature the HYDRACLEAR technology that helps keep contact moist and comfortable throughout the day. Another great feature of the ACUVUE ADVANCE for ASTIGMATISM lens is that they offer Class I UV Blocking to help protect your eyes, and they also allow almost 100% of oxygen through to the lens. Some people with astigmatism may have originally thought that contacts were not an option for them to wear. ACUVUE helps make this possible with their ADVANCE lens for ASTIGMATISM along with other contact lenses in the ACUVUE family.
