I am wearing this contact lenses everyday from more than 10 years ago without an only problem. I can sleep with them and working 12 hours in front a PC screen and it seems like I didn't wear anything at my eyes!
I have also tried some other Acuvue models, but this is the right one: Acuvue 2 are too large and Oasys must be replaced everyday, dut to they turn dirty ...and other marks, like B&L are just marketing.
Believe me: Acuvue (the classical ones) are the best contact lenses ever. Your eyes will be grateful if you use it. :-)
PS: The only cons are that, as they are too slim, you may need some practice for put them in your eyes and that they are more sensible to dust.

This contact is very bad , it tends to fold up and go into the eye and cause discomfort. This contact is also extremly difficult to put in the eye.It causes great discomfort and hazy or blurry vision after extended usage such as a full day at school or a day out shopping for as little as 3 hours causes discomfort in the eye from the wearing of the contact.Acuvue Oasis is better i preffer it to only ACUVUE because Acuvue Oasis does not cause discomfort and is easy to put in the eye.
I have been wearing contacts for almost 15 years and never experienced more frustrating lenses. They work fine once they are finally in but are very very thin and take forever to get in and frequently burn. Further it says that since they are so thin you can wear them for days but they dry out more than any contact ever. I guess I learned why they were cheaper then others out there!
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend
I have been wearing contacts for 35 years, since they first came out. When they first came out the only instruction on how to insert contacts was to see at a room full of cafeteria style tables and to work at it until you got them in. The experience of others and myself was an hour or so nightmare resulting in sore red eyes that took days to recover. Extended monthly wear & sleeping in contacts was preferred to the 1 - 2 hour torture of getting the contacts in. Since that time I have received instruction on how to put contacts is, and let me tell you, these may be a little more difficult because they are thin and flexible, but they are still very easy to put in, and well worth the all day comfort. I work long hours, travel, and sleep in these contacts. I have found the oxygen permeable contact lens become cloudy, absorb proteins and caused allergic reactions to my eye lid. These contacts have never had that problem. They stay clear and comfortable. I still wear my contacts 7/24 and replace them bi-weekly, or if they become the slightest bit irritating (rare and typically if I am pushing into a 3rd week). For those that sleep with contacts I have found it best not to rub or touch your eyes in the morning. I simply stumble into the shower and take a nice warm shower. Within minutes of moisture and steam all is good. If I every encounter any eye irritation from dirt, scratch, or any other cause, take the contacts out at night for a few nights to let your eyes heal, and during the day some if you can. Once they recover I go back to 7/24.
Bottom Line - Best contacts I have found.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
yes, they ARE harder to insert than Oasys, but they seem to resist clouding from eye make-up (especially the kind w/ a high load of silicon-type ingredients) the best of all the lenses I've tried. on this criteria alone I would rank the lenses: 1) regular Accuvue 2) Accuvue Oasys 3) Accuvue Advance
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
