After wearing Acuvue contacts for years at the recommendation of the optician, I was becoming increasingly frustrated. My vision, long distance (sign reading while driving) particularly, was seemingly deteriorating. I kept returning for consulations and tweaking, to no avail. I chanced upon a coupon for a free trial of Air Optix and figured that I had nothing to lose. I had very low expectations but, boy, was I surprised!! First of all, they seemed a little stiffer putting in, and I began to grumble. But they settled on my eye within seconds and I COULD SEE MUCH, MUCH BETTER!! I thought I was imagining it, but I realized I could read street signs, directional signs, and even used my readers less. I was sold on Air Optix from that point. The optician neglected to mention that these were 30-day lenses, unlike the two-week Acuvue lenses. So, unfortunately, I discarded them after two weeks and returned to my year's supply of Acuvue. I couldn't stand it. I wanted to SEE! So I went back to order a supply, and that's when the sales clerk told me they were 30-day lenses. So, not only could I see much better, but they were cheaper too! I was going on about it while another customer was being fitted for frames. She chimed in and agreed that SHE COULD SEE MUCH BETTER WITH AIR OPTIX! I was upset that I spent so many years of poor vision unnecessarily. If I hadn't tried these myself, I would still be struggling with vision correction. These lenses are DEFINITELY worth exploring. The fit is different but then, so is the correction, and they might be right for you. Plus, they are HALF THE COST OF ACUVUE!

I cannot see anything further than up close with these contacts. Everything over 3 feet away from me is difficult to see and it makes for an uncomfortable day and existence when you desperately need your contacts to function. The constant straining to see due to the blur it causes in turn causes my eyes to feel irritated and red. I really can't recommend these and won't use the rest in my box once my new order of Biofinity contacts come in. I'm sad about this because I was told they had a lot more moisture which my eyes need, but not being able to see trumps the moisture thing.

Comments about Air Optix Aqua Contact Lens, 6 lenses per box:

After using Air Optix Aqua Night and Day contacts for many years, my new doctor recommended changing to the Air Optix Aqua lenses this year. I never sleep in contacts anyway. I have been wearing the Air Optix Aqua lenses daily for 4 weeks and love them. My vision is excellent with them. Feels like I am not wearing lenses at all. I did have to change from right lens first to putting the left one in first due to these being a bit larger in diameter. I have to let the left one get flat on my eye first, not a problem on my right at all. Go figure... Only took about 3 days to adjust to the change though. Excellent value for the Air Optix Aqua too. Have been wearing these for 29 days and feel as good as day one and are still clear and sharp. I also wear them for about 14-16 hours per day. No complaints here!

I've used Air Optix for 8 years as recommended by my eye doctor. They're great, solved a problem with inability to wear with all day wear. I get a full day of wear with these lenses for 30 days, despite the fact I have a constant dry eye problem from an old eye injury. Have moved 3 times with new eye doctor each time, they each highly recommend Air Optix. I think the value is great, spending only a few hundred bucks annually for great sight and comfortable wear.

One of the biggest complaints you will hear from people who wear contact lenses is experiencing dry and tired eyes – especially after a long day of wear. AIR OPTIX AQUA breathable contact lenses were deigned using a new and revolutionary material that allows for up to five times more oxygen through the lens to the eye – keeping your eyes comfortable all day long. Also, the AIR OPTIX AQUA lenses also have a unique moisture system that helps to prevent buildup and deposits on the lenses, which can also be a source of discomfort and poor vision for contact lens wearers. These AIR OPTIX lenses are disposable lenses and have a recommended replacement schedule of up to four weeks. They have also been approved for extended wear for up to six nights, which gives you some flexibility in how you wear your lenses.

Contact lens wear and replacement schedules are provided based on manufacturer guidelines for a given lens type. It is strongly recommended that you consult with your eye care practitioner to determine the correct wear and replacement best suited to your needs.

Daily disposable lenses are designed for single use only and should not be used beyond the one day schedule.

Weekly, monthly and annual replacement lenses require proper cleaning between uses. Consult with your eye care practitioner for the lens type prescribed for the correct solution type and frequency.
