After wearing Acuvue contacts for years at the recommendation of the optician, I was becoming increasingly frustrated. My vision, long distance (sign reading while driving) particularly, was seemingly deteriorating. I kept returning for consulations and tweaking, to no avail. I chanced upon a coupon for a free trial of Air Optix and figured that I had nothing to lose. I had very low expectations but, boy, was I surprised!! First of all, they seemed a little stiffer putting in, and I began to grumble. But they settled on my eye within seconds and I COULD SEE MUCH, MUCH BETTER!! I thought I was imagining it, but I realized I could read street signs, directional signs, and even used my readers less. I was sold on Air Optix from that point. The optician neglected to mention that these were 30-day lenses, unlike the two-week Acuvue lenses. So, unfortunately, I discarded them after two weeks and returned to my year's supply of Acuvue. I couldn't stand it. I wanted to SEE! So I went back to order a supply, and that's when the sales clerk told me they were 30-day lenses. So, not only could I see much better, but they were cheaper too! I was going on about it while another customer was being fitted for frames. She chimed in and agreed that SHE COULD SEE MUCH BETTER WITH AIR OPTIX! I was upset that I spent so many years of poor vision unnecessarily. If I hadn't tried these myself, I would still be struggling with vision correction. These lenses are DEFINITELY worth exploring. The fit is different but then, so is the correction, and they might be right for you. Plus, they are HALF THE COST OF ACUVUE!

I cannot see anything further than up close with these contacts. Everything over 3 feet away from me is difficult to see and it makes for an uncomfortable day and existence when you desperately need your contacts to function. The constant straining to see due to the blur it causes in turn causes my eyes to feel irritated and red. I really can't recommend these and won't use the rest in my box once my new order of Biofinity contacts come in. I'm sad about this because I was told they had a lot more moisture which my eyes need, but not being able to see trumps the moisture thing.

Comments about Air Optix Aqua Contact Lens, 6 lenses per box:

I live in the desert, and these are the only contact lenses that don't make my eyes dry out. I wear them all day from early morning to late at night. But I can't sleep with them on, because they dry out when you sleep. But, for daytime use, they are fantastic!

Comments about Air Optix Aqua Contact Lens, 6 lenses per box:

I really wanted to like these - I have a tendency to wear my 2 week lenses way longer than I should, so my doctor recommended I try this longer wear version.

I really dislike them. I find them drying and uncomfortable, and I have to take them out nearly every night. When I do remove them, my eyes feel scratchy and sore. I'll be going back to the 2 week lenses once this box is done.

Comments about Air Optix Aqua Contact Lens, 6 lenses per box:

The first contact out of one box was very uncomfortable. Felt like some of the edge was sharp. Tried wearing it two different days and couldn't wear it. A couple years ago I had another contact of this brand that was unusable because my vision was bleary, like it was the wrong prescription. In over 35 years wearing soft contacts I have had perhaps only one other similar experience with other brands.

Comments about Air Optix Aqua Contact Lens, 6 lenses per box:

I use these soft contact lenses for approximately three weeks. I have dry eye / conjunctivitis, so there becomes to much buildup and blurriness if worn longer than three weeks. I had trouble wearing these when doing work outside at a nursery due to allergies causing dry eye and conjunctivitis. If eyes get sensitive or irritated then you are better off not wearing the contacts for a few days or for the duration of your eyes being irritated.

              • Contact lens wear and replacement schedules are provided based on manufacturer guidelines for a given lens type. It is strongly recommended that you consult with your eye care practitioner to determine the correct wear and replacement best suited to your needs.

              • Daily disposable lenses are designed for single use only and should not be used beyond the one day schedule.

              • Weekly, monthly and annual replacement lenses require proper cleaning between uses. Consult with your eye care practitioner for the lens type prescribed for the correct solution type and frequency.
