I have been wearing contacts for over 20 years. Probably for the first time since my very first fitting, I went through a refitting and consultation. Probably the best [$] I spent. My new lens fitter took the time to discuss how I use my contacts, what I want out of them, any issues I have, etc. In the end, she switched me from the Oasys, which I have been using for as long as I can remember, to the Biofinity.Several reasons include: the Biofinity are a 30-day lens, they are cleared for occasional night and day wear (in my case I am cleared for up to 4-5 nights between cleanings), and the high amount of oxygen they allow into the eye. The firmer material also make it easy to pop in the contacts in the morning. She switched me from ReNu to the Clear Care cleaning system, which I absolutely love (truly no rub, yet it thoroughly cleans). The only down side, compared to the Oasys, is that the contacts are much more noticeable when spending hours working on computers or driving (due to the diminished blinking that occurs). This is the only reason I can't give them a perfect 5-star score. However, one or two drops of the Blink Lubricating Eye Drops and they feel fresh out of the cleaning solution again.

I've been wearing Frequency Aspheric 55 for the last 10 years. My doc recommended that I tried Biofinity as they were superior in terms of keeping up with modern technology. I've tried Biofinity and I must say I am very dissatisfied and will be re-ordering a new batch of Frequency lenses. Reason being - blurred vision. It's just blurred, focus seems to be playing back and forth and it never settles, even after 16 hour wear. I've tried another pair on another day, with the same effect. On the positive side I would like to point out, Biofinity lenses are very comfortable when it comes to eye comfort. I have not felt any discomfort with my eyes by the end of day, as I used to have from time to time with Frequency lenses. However, this strong side is nullified by my inability to find stable focus and I ended up with headache on both days when I've tried Biofinity. Quite possible this is just my individual incompatibility issue and other people may feel fine. Long story short, I'm definitely back to Frequency Aspheric 55.
