I have a strong prescription, so my options for contact lenses are limited. I've been a ProClear customer for 10+ years, mostly because they were the first lens I tried that was available in my prescription, and I never felt a need to change brands. When I needed to change prescriptions last year, my optometrist didn't have ProClear lenses in my prescription level on-hand, so she gave me a different brand. I didn't think the difference between brands would be so noticeable, but it was. I was relieved when my ProClear lenses arrived at the doctor's office. ProClear lenses are so comfortable that I hardly feel them on my eyes. With my prescription strength, lenses are undoubtedly expensive, but these are worth the cost because I feel I am taking good care of my eyes. The only downside I've experienced is that lights (e.g. headlights) produce a glare at night when I am wearing my contacts. This is not unexpected for contact lens wearers, though, and the positives far outweigh the negatives with these lenses.

After happily wearing the Bausch & Lomb Soflens 38 (Optima FW) for nearly 20 years, I switched to the ProClear about five months ago, as my optometrist said my eyes needed a lens which allowed more oxygen to enter the eye.

The lenses generally start out comfortable, but they get fairly dry as the day progresses. I have tried other lenses which were even more dry so I wouldn't give these the lowest possible rating, but I'm frustrated at having to use rewetting drops every 45 minutes starting mid-afternoon. I never had to use drops with the previous lenses.

These lenses also tear easily, so you'll need to be fairly gentle when handling them. This problem accelerates as the lenses get older. Because of this problem, I have not yet had a pair of these lenses last the full month they are supposed to last, so I am not getting the expected value out of them.

What concerns me the most is that in two separate shipments of these lenses, I found debris inside the blister packs of the brand new lenses.

On my next visit I will definitely be examining other lens options.

Comments about Proclear Sphere Contact Lens, 6 lenses per Box:

Contacts get cloudy easily and definitely tear.
Comfort is good I just wish they were of a stronger material and did not tear easily. After 6-8 hours vision tends to blur and eyes get red.

Comments about Proclear Sphere Contact Lens, 6 lenses per Box:

I have used many brands of monthly soft contact lens. Since my right eye needs -10.5 power, so the choices are limited. In general, I can use monthly contact lens for about 3 weeks only (the vision get blur after 1-2 weeks). I have very sharp vision the first week when I wear this one. Unfortunately, just like others, it gets less and less clear after the first week. I was hoping this brand can last longer for me (it offers upto -20.0 power). It may be only for me, but I can wear it for only about two weeks. Among all I have tried, Air Optix Aqua is my favorite, however, it only goes up to -10.0 (I use it for my left eye). I think next time I will try a 1-2 weeks disposable for my right eye. I tried weekly disposable long ago and felt it was harder to put on than monthly......

Comments about Proclear Sphere Contact Lens, 6 lenses per Box:

I wear these all day, but because I live in the desert U.S.Southwest, I find I need to take the lenses out a couple of times during the day and put in rewetting drops (on the lenses and in my eye). I take them out overnight to give my eyes a rest and store them in the appropriate fluid.

I had lasik surgery so I use only one contact for mono vision close up. I love it as I have oily skin and glasses or readers were always slipping down my nose and generally getting the way. So far this brand has been the best for my dry eyes but I still need drops to keep them comfortably moist later in the day.

I have been wearing this brand for years and, while they have never REALLY lasted a month, it is usually pretty close. Not this time! I'm not sure why but this "batch" just keeps ripping! I've been through 2 in each eye (4 total)in the past week. I'm wondering if the package may have been exposed to freezing temperatures while in transit (it's insanely cold around the country) and if that could have compromised the quality? That's my only theory... I would previously have recommended these contacts, but if they have changed the quality and this is the new normal, I will be making a change.

Ask a contact lens wearer about their lenses first thing in the morning and you’ll most likely hear them say that they are pretty comfortable – but ask them the same question again 10 hours later and you may hear a completely different story that involves dry, itchy, tired and irritated eyes. One of the main reasons for lenses losing their initial comfort level is that throughout the course of the day, small deposits collect on contact lenses, which can make them both uncomfortable, and affect your vision. Proclear Compatibles (also known as Proclear Sphere) contact lenses are designed to keep your eye comfortable all day long. Proclear Compatibles use PC Technology, which uses a special material that helps keep the contact moist, even after 12 hours of wear! Tired and dry eyes are often the reasons people stop wearing contacts and go back to wearing glasses, so why not try a lens that will help keep the eye more comfortable?
