Solves it all

These lenses solve the issue of being nearsighted and also having difficulty with close up reading. The lenses offer distant, middle, and close up vision correctness. The center portion allows for corrected vision while close up, the next ring out offer middle distant viewing, and the outer ring distance vision correction (this explanation refers to nearsightedness). There is an "Add High" and "Add Low" version of these lenses. Mainly, this affects close up vision. Some can get by with the "Low" while others may need the "High" version. See if your prescriber is on the list for the Bauch & Lomb trial lens program. If so, you can order lenses to try through your eye doctor's office first before ordering them yourself. This is how I was able to determine if I needed the Add High or Add Low version.

I wear these lenses because I have zero options. I wear 14.0 8.3 and there are NONE available in multifocals. B&L is the only co. that offers a 14.0 diameter lens. I wear as daily wear - NEVER leave lenses in overnight!! I get about 6 wks out of them. The optics of a disposable lens will NEVER be as good as a normal daily wear. I miss my regular lenses terribly. Sadly, I just can't see up close at all with a single vision lens. The B&L lenses are a mediocre compromise. My distance vision is not as crisp, and my reading is fair but at least I don't have to fool with reading glasses. :/ I put up with the mediocrity and the lower quality lenses because it's my only choice to avoid reading glasses.

These contact lenses last longer than 2 weeks without falling apart, but they do get tacky after a couple of weeks. They are more expensive than Accue Vu.

I've been using B & L PureVision Multi-focal contact lenses for over 7 years. They are perfect for me. My optometrist has suggested other products but these work great. If it's not broken don't fix it!

Doctors keep trying to put different lenses on me but I either cannot see at night in them or they take a long time to adjust to light changing like walking into a building! I always come back to PureVision lenses.
